More On “Love Dr. Love”:
A contemporary blues, soulblues party song . “Love Dr. Love” is jam-packed with top flight Grammy(tm) and Academy Award(tm) winning songwriters and musicians.
Eliza Neals enlisted Detroit’s world-class creators on “Love Dr. Love.” The contributors include Grammy™ winning legend Barrett Strong Jr. (I Heard it Through the Grapevine, Papa was a Rolling Stone) as songwriter and co-producer. Much of the music was recorded at Strong’s former ‘Studio B’ in Southfield, MI. Academy Award® winning musician Luis Resto (#Eminem, Jay-Z) played clavichord and piano along with a clever horn arrangement. Songwriter, tracking engineer and guitarist Brian Lord (Mitch Ryder, The Motor City Horns) added his rootsy-rock vibe.
“Love Dr. Love” moved south for it’s final touches. 1 Billboard charting producer Mike Puwal (Kenny Wayne Shephard, ICP) provided additional production as recording and mixing engineer, plus guitar at his ‘Univox1’ studio in Nashville, TN. Rounding out the fabulous musicians is funky Kamaal Malak (Arrested Development, Peter Gabriel) on bass, Tim Grogans (Aaron Tippin, Ty Herndon) so in the one take pocket on drums and Grammy Nominated Nick Hayne (MercyMe, The Smoking Section) tops it off with trumpet. Eliza’s production, creative songwriting and gritty velvety voice equals a sensual walk on the wild-side with ‘Love Doctor Love.’
