Rain Can’t Stop Gloucester Blues Festival Thanks Guys
When it rains in Massachusetts who cares? Apparently ‘no one,’ cause you can’t rain on Gloucester where 90% of the residents have a boat or family in the fishing industry. Yes, it poured at times sometimes sideways that did not stop ponchos, umbrellas, waders, boots from dancing and enjoying the day.
“I can’t stop the rain” quote Tina Turner but we sure tried out at Gloucester Blues Festival, lol. My stellar blues band put the people at ease then blues-rock them real good. Evan from Greater Boston Music Reviews wrote me up as one of the best performers as it was a thrill, even though it rained upside down at times. The crew did a great job and the crowd hung on every word.
Yes big drops on the Atlantic ocean right there on State Front Park but you can see from the video above it was one of those days of fun as we were just getting started on our set.
My friend from Maine, Mr. Paul Benjamin was the MC and host so it was cool to grab a Blues Festival Guide photo with him (see left.) Paul is a busy man with the Blues Foundation helping, working and creating opportunities for Blues musicians worldwide and I thank him for being upstanding in this world of music. My Armo musician friends from Boston came out to hear me sing, Tia and Tanya are the real deal, rockers with an edge! Check them out “Flight of Fire” ripping it on Guitar and Bass respectively to super reviews.
