Soundguardian Eliza Neals “Colorcrimes” review

The Soundguardian in Croatia where I was #1 for my “10,000 Feet Below” blues-rock album has come thru with the latest review of “COLORCRIMES”! Thanks so much Mike check out the “10 out of 10 review” on SOUNDGUARDIAN and here’s the translated review:

“Eliza Neals new album “Colorcrimes” released via E-H Records LLC on May 24th is here now and probably still has that exclusive stamp. Jay Johnson did this promo part again and we can thank him for this promotion. Of course, none of this would have been possible if I hadn’t been in contact with Eliza herself, who answered everything very quickly, and I admit that I couldn’t wait to give you information about this excellent blues album.

Eliza Neals is a great musician, who is now much more affirmed, and that status itself carries a certain weight and Eliza Neals, regardless of her indisputable musical qualities, is no longer in a position to really need everyone’s support or promotion. But in this part of Europe, this very Blues Corner of the music portal www.Soundguardian.com, as well as the specialized radio show Blues 4U, gave and are giving a strong impetus to just such musical projects. And every time Eliza needed that support, she got it without any hesitation. This is also our goal and purpose. Therefore, this time it has our unreserved support.

“Colorcrimes” is undeniably an album that sounds incredibly fresh, new and 100% inspired from its first to its last, ninth track. The fact is that Eliza goes one step further with each of her new projects, raises her bar more and more and simply leaves nothing to chance. I personally admire her musical work, the way she gathers people around her, who really know how to give and provide the audience with what they love, what lifts them up and fully fulfills them.

And this time, Eliza gathered around her a strong, respectable team of musicians, who give her strong support and their musical background creates a great space in which Eliza literally shines. Eliza Neals again throws everything under her feet with her impressive vocal performance and simply wipes everything in front of her. There’s so much frenzied power in her vocals that it’s just not normal. In the whole musical story just that, that combination of musical templates and her impressive vocals is a winning formula, which will leave you speechless. And that’s why Eliza now and again moves forward on some new musical wings, she goes where others don’t dare and that gives her credibility that without hesitation many proclaim her and call her: “the voice of the new blues.”

Eliza Neals is undeniably an exceptionally prolific singer-songwriter, self-confident producer, arranger, “band leader”, pianist and truly unique in the live atmosphere. Impressive passion, expressed sexiness really seems extremely dangerous. But, on the other hand, her musical figure only comes to its true expression with the incredible musical templates provided by her supporting musicians.

In such and such a symbiosis of modern electric blues, psychedelic rock with occasional references to Southern Soul. 10/10
