“There is something very comforting in hearing that an artist, in these days and age, keeps on being loyal to the music roots where said artist comes from, as the years go by. In that respect and undoubtedly, a city like Detroit in the United States that has got an enormous musical heritage, has inspired hundreds of musicians as it keeps on doing today, still, nurturing their imagination and creativity each and every day.”

“The nine original songs included in Thunder In The House portray an artist very much still at the top of her game, especially through the irresistible one-two-three (Speedy Beady, Love Will and Blues Bombshell) that open the record, a trio of songs suspended between Electric Blues, Traditional Blues and Blues/Rock, where, together with Neals fabulous vocal delivery at the epicenter of each song, there is also a stellar job on guitar that will continue throughout the whole of the record made by one of Neals’ longtime friends and collaborators, Michael Puwal…”

It’s refreshing to get such a warm review about art that was created under so much pressure. The pressure to keep writing good material, the pressure to perform above your last recording. These pressures along with what LIFE throws at you are the reasons why being vs staying means so much to artists.
