Eliza Neals – “Thunder in the House”

I’m truly stunned I can’t believe it. I work so very hard to create, embody and channel to be just my self and forget the years of singing, school, gigging and all. I don’t do this for awards, reviews or praise, I do it cause it is art, no more no less. ART is definitively difficult to create that lasts any length of time. When I create songs on my 1937 Hardman grand piano it speaks to me as I plot out the chords for the bass, the drums and the guitar. I can write a song and hear all the parts sometimes on one pass. As my mentor Barrett Strong would say “you wrote the song you know how its supposed to sound, how it should feel, where it should go.’

POPROCK written by says “She is someone that embodies all those gospel, soul, funky, jazz, rock and blues divas that have deeply and strikingly marked the world music scene. From the early 1920s to the present day, it is a very imposing bunch of names, and when all this comes together, it turns into each other and pours into the vocal cords of only one person… that is Eliza Neals… I’ve been listening very carefully in recent weeks and wondering more and more and I’m becoming indescribably happy with what this album offers us. Namely, Eliza Neals combines many of the best components that adorn musicians of the 20th and 21 century, and they are all in her voice, into her musical being, and this is her greatest treasure.”

Thank You Mike you are a true listener, thank you.
